Abstract:
In this article a first presentation is were found in Larisa in 1975. The first given of four inscribed stelai, which of them (fig. 1 ) bears an honorary inscription of Larisaians to two members of the company of Eumenes 2nd of Pergamon, who had come to Larisa at the same time with the Roman Consul Poplius. The inscription is dated to the first year of the 3rd Macedonian War ( 171 B.C.).In the second stele there are two inscriptions : On one side (fig. 2 )there is an honorary inscription of Larisaiansto an astronomer from Hiera- polis ( of Syria ? ), who had practised his profession successfully for many years in Larisa. The inscription is dated to the 2nd c. B.C. On the other side of the stele there is a liberal inscription of the 2nd c. B.C. (fig. 3 ).Liberal inscriptions, dated to the 1st c. B.C., are also preserved on the other two stelai (figs. 4-6).
