Abstract:
Paris, Bibliothèque Nationale, gr. 922, was made for the Empress Eudokia Makrembolitissa, wife of Constantine X Doukas (1059-1067), some time between 1061/62 and 1067. The Empress is portrayed with her family at the start of the manuscript. The content of the book is discussed in comparison with other, similar compilations, as one intended to cover issues of Orthodoxy that the Empress had to know for the performance of her official, state duties.
