Abstract:
A further 16 m of the inner face of the N fortifying wall was uncovered. Ata point 13 m W of the acropolis gate, three stone steps were located, part of a staircase leading up to the top of the wall. Further evidence was found of the existence of a metal and pottery workshop within the enclosure of the acropolis: fragments of four clay moulds for relief scyphi and part of a stone mould for casting metal objects. Iron spears, iron arrowheads, and a bronze cheek piece from a helmet bear witness to the military activity inside the acropolis. A hoard of 54 bronze coins of the 2nd c. BC was found in a room in one of the dwellings. One unusual find was the vestiges of some grapes among the ashes in a hearth
