Abstract:
The excavational data from the plot at No. 20 Kalavryton St., at the E end of the table, show that there was no building activity there before the 5th c. BC, and it has been found that there were special reasons for the non-completion of a house in the late 5th or early 4th c. BC.A supplementary excavation in the W section of the plot at No. 19 Kalavryton St. (which had been excavated in 1990), likewise at the E end of the table, revealed semi-beehive-shaped storage spaces incorporated into a stone retaining wall. They contained round pits hewn out of the ground, and a number of grain-storage pits, dating to the 7th c. BC. One rectangular and two semicircular stone structures were uncovered in the plot at No. 33 Isidorou St., to the NE and outside the bounds of the table, dating to the Archaic and Classical periods. They are probably the remains offacilities connected with agriculture or stock-breeding. Part of the Archaic cemetery was investigated at No. 24 Evagora Street, to the SW outside the ancient settlement. The graves are long, narrow pit-graves covered with slab-like stones
