Abstract:
The remains of 4 graves were investigated in field No. 528 at Oraiokastro,Thessaloniki prefecture, which is believed to be part of the cemetery of the ancientsettlement known as Dautbali Mound. The graves, 2 pit graves and 2 cremations, hadbeen disturbed many times, by natural and human factors. The grave goods, which date to between the late 5th and early 4th century BC,included a red-figure Attic bell crater with traces of white colour (380-360 BC), abronze wreath, gold earrings, gilded shield-shaped clay knobs with a bust of Athena, and an iron finger-ring, all from grave 1 (cremation), and the clay bust of a femaledeity that was found nearby. Of particular interest is a leaden magic knot of theClassical period, which was found near grave 4.
